Zermatt & the Matterhorn
Experience the world's most photographed mountain up close. Hike classic routes around the iconic pyramid peak with the legendary Matterhorn as your constant companion.
Zermatt is one of Europe's great alpine destinations, a car-free village at 1,620 m that sits at the foot of the Matterhorn — the most recognised mountain silhouette in the world. Our Zermatt program focuses on the trails and viewpoints that bring you face-to-face with this iconic peak from every angle.
Highlights include the Five Lakes Walk, the Gornergrat ridge with its panorama of 29 peaks over 4,000 m, the Schwarzsee plateau directly beneath the Matterhorn's north face, and optional glacier walks on the Gorner Glacier.
Zermatt is also a gateway for more ambitious adventures — acclimatisation treks before a Matterhorn attempt, or routes leading south into Italy's Aosta Valley. We tailor each day to the group's goals.
