Descrizione
Mont Blanc (4,808 m) is the highest peak in the Alps and in all of Europe west of the Caucasus. While the mountain has long attracted climbers from around the world, for hikers the true classic is the Tour du Mont Blanc—a 170 km circuit through France, Italy, and Switzerland that encircles the entire massif on a network of spectacular mountain trails.
This tour combines carefully selected sections of the Tour du Mont Blanc with the finest hikes in the Chamonix Valley and the surrounding Haute-Savoie. Highlights include the Aiguilles Rouges traverse, where the granite spires of the Mont Blanc massif rise directly across the valley; the historic Col de la Seigne on the Italian border; and the celebrated Grand Balcon Nord and Grand Balcon Sud, two of Chamonix's most iconic panoramic trails.
Chamonix itself is one of the world's great mountain towns—a vibrant alpine center with an extraordinary mountaineering heritage, outstanding restaurants, and easy access to some of the Alps' most spectacular scenery. The legendary Aiguille du Midi cable car, Europe's highest at 3,842 m, offers an unforgettable perspective over the Vallée Blanche glacier and the surrounding peaks.
